Job Purpose
- Responsible for Procurement, Pune plant – Supply Chain Procurement – Commodities like – Sheet Metal, Castings, Raw Material.
Key Responsibilities
- Supplier Management: Manage supplier relationships and performance to meet company expectations and objectives.
- Planning, Scheduling & procurement for all products in Pune plant as per month/weekly/daily plan.
- Excellent in communication skills.
- Inter departmental co-ordination for planning & execution.
- Knowledge of managing inventory of raw material (Steel) for inhouse parts by having always physical stocks with him.
- MOQ management for Steel
- Scheduling technique for Castings -High MOQ & high lead time items
- Manage inventory with returnable packaging for JIT items.
- Forsee Risk in supplies for Steel due to RM fluctuations and special grade material.
- Understand Timelines for Imports/domestic procurement and schedule accordingly per lead time well in advance.
- Budget and manage expedited freight for imports and domestic components.
Experience Required
- 6-12 years in Procurement or Purchasing function.
- Handled commodity of Sheet Metal & Castings.
- Energetic & passionate to work.
- Must have strong passion to drive business continuity & driving excellence.
- Should have strong analytical & speedy decision-making capabilities.
- Good expertise in MS Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Power BI would be added advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- BE/BTech (Mechanical/Automobile), Post Graduate Diploma in Materials management, Post Graduation in Supply Chain Management is preferable.
