Job Purpose

The Inbound Process and Carrier Referent will work closely with plant procurement, purchasing, logistics and finance to make sure that transportation service is deployed as scheduled and executed in the most optimized way to achieve savings in freight costs and guarantee smooth operational processes along with best possible service.

They will be responsible to manage the relation between Transport Logistics Inbound and a defined number of EMEA production plants, as well as with a portfolio of Carriers.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor critical shipments end to end, from transport request till final delivery
• Manage administrative process, check freight invoices against service agreements and preinvoice
• Monitor carrier On Time Delivery KPI and organize QBR with assigned carriers
• Support purchasing department in business requirement definition for RFQ
• Review logistic and internal processes and provide optimization proposals
• Manage communication and relation with the plant
• Manage operational escalations
• Track actual costs and support to analyze variances vs standard
• Support budget definition
• Define savings actions, implement and track
• Resolve transportation issues

Experience Required

• Min 5 years experienced in Logistics business (transport, logistics operations)
• Knowledge of transport industry, players, capabilities and systems
• Knowledge of main processes connected to Logistics (Manufacturing, Accounting, Product Cost, Purchasing, Quality, …) and systems (SAP/OTM)
• Problem solving attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
• Business acumen and proactivity

Preferred Qualifications

They possess working familiarity with road, rail, international ocean and air transport regulations and modes, with good understanding of customs operations.

They are able to relate with structured players like freight forwarders and shipping lines, as well as manage relations within a global company like CNH.

They possess strong analytical skills and advanced use of MS Excel, Access, PowerBI and Office Automation.
